The Team

Shivani Lalloo, LAPC, CRC
Hello, I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor. As someone diagnosed with a chronic illness at a young age, I understand how challenging it is to cope with uncertainty in life. I am passionate about helping others who feel overwhelmed by the many challenges that life unexpectedly throws at them. I work with individuals experiencing difficulties with anxiety, chronic illness, depression, self-esteem, stress management, life transitions and other issues as well. I also enjoy working with teenagers to navigate their way through school to overcome academic, emotional, and social challenges.
As a licensed associate professional counselor, I believe in using compassion, empathy, and mindfulness to help my clients build on their strengths to cope with challenges in life. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and other creative interventions in my counseling approach. I also aim to incorporate my client’s culture and values into therapy, as I believe each client is an expert in their own life. I completed a Master of Science graduate degree in Health Psychology from University College London, focusing on understanding health behaviors and using a holistic model to help clients reach their full potential. After relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, I completed a Master’s degree in clinical Rehabilitation Counseling.
Additionally, I worked as a therapist at Coach & Counsel and as an intern and Certified Rehabilitation Counselor with the Georgia Vocational Rehabilitation Agency. I gained valuable experience in guiding adolescents and adults through challenges such as coping with a chronic illness or disability, career exploration, advocating for equal opportunities in college and employment, and finding purpose in life while overcoming emotional, physical, and social barriers. This experience has enabled me to help her clients gain relief from social anxiety, depression, and stress.
